@Kevin_Z, is there still no DoH/DoT feature in AX53?

Why this feature is not standard in TP-Link routers is beyond me.

Even after requesting this feature for so long it is still not implemented!

By the way. What was still a "pre-release" yesterday has already become an official release today in parts of the world.

  @Kevin_Z

Do you know when "pre-release Firmware" will become an official release in EU version?

Hello. Please explain to me how can i install this firmware update on a Archer AX53 V1 that is connected as a easymesh because i can this FW update only in the main router. I don't have the function to add this FW update to the mesh router. Also i have another mesh router that is AX53 V2. Where can i find tthe firmware update for this V2 that supports mesh with ethernet backhaul. Thank you.

Hi,

If I am not mistaken, the Archer AX53 V2 should support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul "out of the box". (i.e. don't need to update the firmware)

To update the AX53 V1 satellite router with the firmware you downloaded from the TP-Link website you need to do the following:
1) reset the AX53 to factory default settings
2) connect the computer to the AX53 (recommended is by Ethernet cable, but wireless will also work)
3) log into the AX53 via http://192.168.0.1 and update the firmware
4) switch the AX53 back to satellite mode
5) add the AX53 to the EasyMesh network again

  @Kevin_Z

I've been testing the new firmware since its release and it has been perfect for me. Super stable and efficient. Both Ax58 and Ax53 are working fine in mesh with Ethernet backhaul. Tp-link has exceeded itself.

It's great to finally have all clients on the network perfectly identified and centrally managed from the main router.

Kudos to you and the dev team for the stellar work!

Happy new year

Regards

Tony

Hi Toni,

nice you have got it working. However I'm fighting with them, Archer AX53V1 and AX58v1 since a week, and I only get it working stable for one or two hours, then my whole LAN becomes crazy (DHCP doesn't work, devices disconnect,...) I've been testing using AX53 as main adn AX58 as satellite and the other mode (AX58 main and AX53 satellite).

When using WiFi EasyMesh everything runs perfect, but when I connect Ethernet then nightmare appears.

Then my question tou you, Toni, Are you using AX53 and AX58, both, as satellites? Which router are you using as main in this case?

Else which is your config?

Thanks

Regards

Javier

@Kevin_Z Awesome thank you very much for approved my "feature request", as those features are really important for many AX53 V1 users :)

Hi!

I'm sorry for the late reply. I didn't get notified of you reply.

I'm using the ax58 as main router and the ax53 as satellite.

What I did was:

Started with ax53 in AP mode. Inside ax58 I reserved a specific ip for the ax53 (in my case 192.168.1.253).

I then placed the ax53 into satellite mode and added it on the ax58 (using Ethernet cable on port 2 on both devices).

Once the ax53 rebooted, it became inaccessible (which is normal in satellite mode). I then unplugged the Ethernet cable on the ax53 from port 2 and plugged it into the wan port (blue).

And everything started to work perfect

I'm describing the whole procedure because

the ax53 had no ip once it moved into satellite mode. It only got one once I plugged it into the wan port (not sure that affects anything but it only started to work as designed when I did that) and it got the pre defined by the ax58 dhcp server
