  @Katash

It would seem if I factory restore the device it returns to working at full speed wifi, as soon as I restore a backup I'm back to having same problem.

Did it twice and confirmed result both times

Clearly there is a problem with my original (working fine before firmware update) config that caused wifi instability.

Anyone from TP-Link support here able to take a look at my backup file and see what the issue is please?

Hi Joseph, there are still 2 points after upgrading to 1.4.4 that I need clarity on:

1) The IoT Network, as shown below, are only available on the Router (AX53v1). It does not get distributed to the Satellites.

Is this how it should work or a bug?

2) After a scheduled reboot, I struggle alot to get the Ethernet wired back haul back again, as shown below. It always default to Wifi. After a couple of reboots on "Living Room" and "Bedroom" Satellites it eventually change to Ethernet Back haul. Any reason why this is the case?

After reboots it moves from wifi back haul to ethernet back haul as shown below: It will now stay like this until the next scheduled reboot of the Router.

My Setup is as shown below:

Thanks for your support on this.

Hello@Katash ,

Welcome to our community.

Is the wired connection working? If so, try the following suggestions:

    1) Make sure the Router is properly placed; it should be put in an open area instead of inside a cabinet or shelf.
    2) Change the wireless channel to another one. You may refer to
Changing Channel and Channel Width on a TP-Link Router (new logo).
    3) Change channel to avoid interference. For 2.4GHz wireless client devices, adjust the 2.4GHz channel width to 20MHz; for 5 GHz wireless client devices, adjust the 5GHz channel width to 80MHz or 40MHz, etc.

Does the problem recur if you reset and reconfigure without restoring backup files?

Best Regards.

Hi@Duppie007,

Welcome to our community.

Is the living room unit always connected to the bedroom unit via Ethernet cable?  Is there any switch in the whole network?

If you swap the Living room unit with the other units, that is, connect them directly to the main router, can Ethernet Backhaul be established normally after reboot?

  @Joseph-TP

Thanks for the response.

Yes the living room unit is always connected to the bedroom unit via Ethernet cable.

From Bedroom to Router there is a TP-Link switch. That said, I have no issue with Bedroom Satellite.

Will test the direct connection of the living room Satellite directly to router and feedback.

  @Kevin_Z  I see that for AX53 the official Firmware is now available 1.4.4. But what about AX58 v1 ? I see nothing from the official Firmware page ? Is the 1.4.3 pre-release compatible with AX58 it's not 100% clear 🤔

Many thanks in advance!

  @Joseph-TP

I eventually had some time to do some further testing. When directly connected to Router no issue is experienced when rebooting.

Ethernet mesh are always established. What I did find is that I have configured the Satelites under DHCP setting with Address Reservation.

When removing the Satelites from the Address Reservation under DHCP the problem seems to have been resolved. :-)

The Only open point, for me, is the below. Any update on your side if this will be fixed? Thanks.

Hi@Duppie007 ,

We're glad to hear your issue has been resolved.

You can check the 'New Features and Modifications' section of this post. Currently, the Archer AX53 has added an IoT Network, but it doesn't yet support simultaneous IoT network expansion with a satellite router. This request is being planned, so stay tuned.
