Hi@DJPRMF,

Thank you for your reply.

Could you please help us collect the link speed which may help us locate the issue faster:
How to check the associated/link speed on a wired client
How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

Here are some tips which might improve the speed of your Archer Router:
    1) If Ethernet speed is slower than expected, please try different Ethernet cables (CAT5E or above) on the Router.
    2) Disable QoS, please access http://tplinkwifi.net and go to Advanced >> QoS to disable it.
    3) Disable Parental Control, please go to Advanced >> Parental Control to disable it.
    4) If wireless speed is slower than expected, please go to Advanced >> Wireless Settings to change the 5GHz Wi-Fi channel, you may try different channels to find the best one for your environment.
    5) Disable SIP ALG and UPNP, please go to Advanced >> NAT Forwarding >> UPNP to disable UPNP, go to Advance >> Security to disable SIP ALG.
    6) Try a few other speedtest
servers, other servers might reach better speeds.

  @Joseph-TP

Hi,

The link speeds are OK (1000 Mbps). Note that this issue only appears after the firmware upgrade, and is not related with my setup (cable, etc). If i use other router, or even the ISP one, is working fine. This just started after the recent upgrade of the firmware.

About the rest:
    1) I am using a CAT 6e cable, and try different cables. No change here.
    2) QoS is disabled.
    3) Parental Control is disable.
    4) The issue is related with the WAN speed...
    5) SIP ALG and UPnP are disable
    6) Is not a "speedtest server" issue.

Thanks

Hi@DJPRMF,

Thank you for your detailed reply.

According to our previous communication, all client devices should be affected, right? What are they? How are they connected to the router?

Please force the WAN negotiation speed to 1000Mbps for a test on the Advanced->Network>Internet page. (If the Internet drop after fixing the negotiation speed to 1000Mbps, please change it back to auto to restore the connection).

Please provide a screenshot of the router WAN/LAN rate negotiation, Go to Network Map--Archer AX58--Ethernet Status.

You mentioned that QoS has been disabled. For comparison, set Qos according to the network bandwidth, add the test device as high priority, and collect QoS setting screenshots.

Please send the test results above to email support.forum@tp-link.com, attaching [Forum ID 766942] and details, and we will have a dedicated person to assist in analysis and follow-up.

Hi,

As stated before, yes. This affects the WAN speed, and so, every device.

Forcing to 1000 Mbps in the router doesn't change the issue.

This issue only appear in the recent upgrade of firmware. Before this was ok.

Thanks

Hi@DJPRMF,

After updating the firmware, have you tried to reset the router and reconfigure the router?

Also, which version did you use to upgrade to version 1.4.3? Please try to downgrade to the previous version of the firmware to check whether the problem disappears?

If the problem disappears after rolling back to the previous version, I will report it to the relevant technical department. Please wait for the official release of 1.4.3 before upgrading the firmware.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

@Danny--  You can't. See the first post - is even in RED.

I didn't respond to the previous answer from @Joseph-TP since makes no sense and is leading to someone brick the router trying to do it. Along with "steps" that i have already stated before that have been done.
