Solution What can I do if the Tapo C325WB continues to record detection video clips?

Phenomenon Description:
After upgrading the Tapo C325WB V1 to firmware version 1.3.4 Build 250427 Rel.72292n, you may experience the following phenomenon.
- The Tapo C325WB, which is set to record detection video clips, continues to record 3-minute video clips on the SD card even when no events are detected (as shown in the picture below).
- When the camera works in Night mode and the Smart mode is selected on the camera's Device Settings > Video & Display > Night Mode Settings page, the spotlight remains on and can't be turned off.

Workaround:
Update on Nov 3, 2025.
The report phenomenon has been solved on the official firmware 1.3.8 Build 250811 Rel.67225n. It's recommended to update the Tapo C325WB V1's firmware to the latest version if you encounter the same phenomenon.
