Dear  @MrJi

Also thanks for the suggested solution.

But as you know and I said in some of the previous posts that I want to use EasyMesh in a wired network via LAN cables (Ethernet Backhaul), because I have them installed to every room, and only such use has the full capacity and meaning of the EasyMesh network. smiley

Regards.

  @zexoni70

Yes EasyMesh does work.

Plugging ethernet cable back into the satellite with the workaround does make it work with EasyMesh. But the steps to make the channel and channel width propagate from the main router will have to be done wirelessly before plugging the ethernet cable back into the satellite.

Now EasyMesh via wired backhaul (LAN) with the correct channel and channel width is set correctly and is working as intended.

My channel and channel width is set correctly to 80MHz and is working within the EasyMesh nerwork.

I apologize if my post wasn't clear about EasyMesh.

  @MrJi

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation.

I'm at work now and can't try it.

But I am interested in the following scenario:

1. As my main router AX80 is set to reboot every day at a certain time, does that procedure have to be repeated every time after rebooting the device.

2. What happens when the electricity goes out in my place, does the whole process have to be repeated again in that case?

I'd kind of like to set up EasyMesh once and then be calm for a long period of time (forget about its settings) if you understand me.. smileywink

Regards.

Hi  @zexoni70

I could give you a clear answer since I have tried and have experienced two of the scenarios you described.

1. The satellite will keep it's settings and you won't have to repeat the procedure every time your router reboots.

2. Fortunately this morning my electricity went out for one hour and when the main router and the satellite router boots up it still kept its settings and EasyMesh is engaged and working just fine.

The only time you have to repeat this procedure is when you change your main routers channel or channel width and need your satellite routers to propagate the new settings.

I totally understand you and I too would like to just set it and forget it.

Hopefully this will be it 😊

I'm configuring Easy Mash with an AX80 as the main router and an AX73 as the satellite router via an Ethernet backhaul.
I'm in Japan.

When I turn on Access Control on tplinkwifi.net, it doesn't work properly.
The AX80 displays "No Internet" on Tether.

Also, most clients no longer appear in Tether's Online Clients list.
Only the PC I was using to access the web settings screen appears, and no other clients do.
Only Tether is missing; all clients appear in the Clients section of the Network Map on the web settings screen, so there's no problem.

If I turn off Access Control, the AX80 on Tether displays "Working Well" and all clients appear in the Online Clients list.

  • Main

Archer AX80 v1.0
1.3.1 Build 20250813 rel.70406(4A50)

  • Satellite

Archer AX73 V1
1.3.6 Build 20240407 rel.43274

@tutuhide Thank you very much for reporting this unintended behavior.

Do you mean that you enabled Access Control on the AX80's web interface page but didn't add any client devices to the Allow or Deny List, and then the AX80 displays "No Internet" on the Tether app immediately?

Did you enable Access Control when you're using the previous official 1.1.x version? Was it behaving the same or differently?

In the beta firmware, even when Access Control is turned on and all devices to be used are registered in the Allow List, "No Internet" is displayed and most devices do not appear in the client list.
In the previous official version, if Access Control was turned on and all devices to be used were registered, "Working Well" was displayed and all devices were displayed in the client list.

I have now registered the MAC address of the default gateway in the Allow List, and now "Working Well" is displayed.
However, most devices still do not appear in the client list.
The default gateway is a router made by another manufacturer (NTT) loaned to me by my provider.

In the official version, I did not register the MAC address of the default gateway in the Allow List, but there were no problems.

@tutuhide Thank you very much for all the detailed information.

Since this 1.3.1 Build 20250813 rel.70406(4A50) firmware is a beta firmware that aims to fix the web interface display issue when the web browser is in Dark Mode, so there might be some other unknown bugs.

Would you please send us the app log via the Tether app, and then forward that email with the app log to support.forum@tp-link.com for further analysis?

Hi  @Kevin_Z

Will there be a pre-release firmware for the AX80 US model as well?

  @zexoni70

Just updated my router via normal update no beta stuff, and i have the same dark/light mode issue on: 1.3.1 Build 20250718 rel.9236 firmware.
Using the latest macOS via Safari, when switching to light mode, the text is visible. Not sure how this slipped through the beta phase.
