Viewing Tapo C200 through Windows 10 PC
While I can view my Tapo C200 through the mobile app, I would also like to use a PC to view it. Is there some way I can view it using my PC?

Let's get this developed. If ToiletPaper-Link isn't willing to do it, give us the API or something so we can make our own software and open-source it. They already have the option to secure the camera feed behind a password.

Tired of waiting for a further reply from TP-Link on this thread which was started in April 2020, I have created a new one to include Mac and Linux users as well as Windows.
Viewing and controlling Tapo C200 and other devices through Windows, MacOS and Linux
Maybe we might see a reply newer than December 2023?

Use VLC (RTSP Stream)
-
In the Tapo app, enable RTSP under Camera Settings > Advanced Settings > Camera Account.
 -
Note your camera’s IP address.
 -
Open VLC Media Player → go to Media > Open Network Stream.

That will only allow you to see a live view.
What is needed is a proper windows/web application that works the same as the Mobile application.
You need to be able to see past events, activity and view the SD card/Cloud data as well.

  @MickFarr
Thanks- I got excited about this simple solution- I could have actually followed those steps-  BUT you are right. If it is live- sure I can just look out the window where my PC is.

Not the solution I want. I want to be able to see playback and event on the bifg screen so I can capture the flocker who scratched my car for example- Or tried to break in.  Currently yhe image on a mobile screen is tiny- even if you zoom in.

Release a simple programme to view the camera on my PC. I guess I could just view the sd card in a reader. But what about stream recordings.

 Doesnt work
