What's the Detection Tag feature?

Some Tapo cameras support the Detection Tag feature that helps you identify events in a live stream.

With the Tag On, a blue box will show up around detected events (as shown in the picture below) to highlight the moving object in view. This helps to find the detected events soon on the camera’s Live View page.

How to turn on/off the Detection Tag feature?

To turn on/off this feature:
1. Go to the Tapo app>tap your camera to enter its Live View page.
2. Tap the Tag On/Off icon() to enable or disable this feature.

Note:
1. The event will be tagged once it enters the camera’s view even if it’s not within the detection/activity zone.
2. If you haven't enabled the detection types in the camera’s Device Settings> Detection page, the detection tag functionality will not be effective.
