New Feature Introduction to Motion Tracking and Auto tracking feature
What is the Motion Tracking/Auto Tracking feature?
The Tapo Pan & Tilt cameras support the Motion Tracking or Auto Tracking feature, which lets the camera track activity until it has stopped after detecting it to better protect the home property and security.
Typically, the camera will return to the original position where it enabled the Motion Tracking/Auto Tracking feature after 30 seconds if the detected activity stops moving or out of the camera's monitor area and no new activity is detected.
How to enable the Motion Tracking/Auto Tracking feature?
Below are the steps to enable the Motion Tracking/Auto Tracking feature.
1. Open the Tapo app, go to the Home tab, and click on your camera card to enter its Live View page. Or go to the Cameras tab and click on the Manage button on your camera card to enter its Live View page.
2. Tap the icon at the top right corner to go to the camera’s Device Settings page.
3. Go to Detection > Motion Tracking or Auto Tracking feature to enable it.
Note:
1. If your Tapo Pan & Tilt camera supports the Motion Tracking feature, please ensure the Motion Detection feature is enabled before enabling the Motion Tracking feature. The camera will track all the activities it detects.
2. If your Tapo Pan & Tilt camera supports the Auto Tracking feature, please select between Never Track, Track All Activities, or Track Specific Activity.
a. If you select Track Specific Activity, please ensure the corresponding detection types are enabled. For example, if you select Track Specific Activity and choose Person Tracking and Vehicle Tracking, please ensure that Person Detection and Vehicle Detection are enabled.
b. If you want the camera to track all motions, please select Track All Activities.
