Hi. I have several Tapo Link C120 cameras and sometimes in the middle of the night one of the cameras will start speaking "Connecting to Wi-Fi" "Disconnected from Wi-Fi" Very loudly, is there a way to mute these alerts so they do not go off in the middle of the night?

I know it's because they might of dropped connection but it's quite a new thing I've noticed as the one looking out at my car park has very limited WiFi signal and would lose it quite often but I never heard it say that until very recently. I have had to take off one camera looking into my garden as it waking me up in the night and annoying the neighbours. And now the one it the kids room has started doing it in the night so unplugged that. I have very strong WiFi in the house so not sure why those 2 are disconnecting but I don't mind the disconnection as maybe was some interference but the problem is the voice is crazy loud and I would like to be able to turn that off.

Hi,
On the Tapo app > camera's Live View page, please tap the Call icon to go to the Voice Call page, then tap the icon at the top right corner of the Voice Call page, try to reduce the speaker volume, and check if it helps.
Best Regards

Same thing, noticed with my C120 v1.0. Don't think i've heard it before, since 1.3.1. it's extremely loud and at night, i figure it must drive the neighbours nuts!

I think 1.3.1 changed wifi chip/firmware/drivers or something, because my C120s were working (essentially) flawlessly before, perhaps right on the border of my WiFi signal though. However since the update I've had them drop out reporting "Offline" in the app and combined with the loud announcement "connecting to wifi.... WIFI connected1" at other random times as PaulieX noted above.

I've reset and reconfigured both cameras but that didn't resolve it. I've brought one camera which has been more troublesome closer to the wifi AP and issue has disappeared, so it looks like i've lost some range and will need to look at extending the wifi signal closer to where the cameras are.

All that said, i wonder if TP-link rep could confirm - is the camera supposed to enter setup mode if it can't maintain a good wifi signal with the configured SSID/AP?

Yeah that's what I think that it's an update problem just it was working/ not shouting at me before.
I've had a reply from Support and they are going to push a firmware update. I will keep you informed in if fixes the problem.
