Phenomenon Description:

Tapo C200 V3 & TC70 V3 are going offline after upgrading to the latest firmware ver 1.4.3, and the camera can't be configured successfully after reset, with the error Paring Failed, etc.

Workaround:

>> For users in the United States, we recommend contacting local technical support.

>> For users from other countries and regions, we suggest trying the following steps.

Step 1.

If the user has an SD card inserted into the camera, try upgrading the firmware via the SD card, which may solve the reported phenomenon. Here are the detailed instructions to upgrade the firmware.

Step 2.

Alternatively, you can try:
    a. Set your router's wireless security type to WPA2-PSK or WPA-PSK, or enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone with the same security type.
    b. Press and hold the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset. Then, reconfigure the camera and check if it works fine.
    c. If so, please send me (@Solla-topee) the camera's MAC address via a private message if you want to try the new firmware.
    d. Then, restore your router's Wi-Fi settings or turn off the hotspot Wi-Fi after the firmware is successfully upgraded. Next, factory reset the camera and reconfigure it to connect to the router's Wi-Fi.

Before the Upgrade:
(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
(2) How to update the firmware of the Tapo devices on the Tapo App
(3) Firmware downgrade is not supported. When a new official version is released, updating it will overwrite the beta version.

Step 3.

If the above steps do not help, you can contact the local support team for further assistance.
