A couple days ago I decided to pay the annual subscription fee to have access to all of the parental controls. My kids already had bedtimes through parental controls. I wanted to add an off time for certain days. Ever since I've done this, my kids both are unable to connect to the Internet despite it being a time they should be able to connect to the Internet. In addition, our TV and my husband's phone is unable to connect. I have restarted the router and it didn't solve anything. I did update the router a couple days ago and it seemed to solve the issue for that day. But two days in a row, no one is able to connect.

Does anyone have a solution?

  @themamacurd619,

Are you able to connect to the network, and there is simply no internet access?

I would recommend checking that the content filter that you have set is using a Blacklist, otherwise all sites but what you allow would be blocked.

I would also HIGHLY recommend making sure that the devices that support "Private Addressing" or "Randomized MAC Addresses" have the setting disabled. This is a widely available setting nowadays but will cause your device to be seen as a new device each time it connects - meaning that the parental controls wouldn't take effect.

Also, make sure that your router is properly configured for the time zone that you are in.

Lastly, if you remove the devices from the parental control profiles, or delete the profiles entirely - do the devices quickly regain access to the internet?
