  @Ryan Does the EU in this version means it will work in the UK? Thanks

  @Tigermad

Hi,
Usually, when you see the label stuck on the bottom of the Deco, you can find out whether your Deco is EU, US, or another version.
Best Regards

  @Ryan

I installed the beta today and tried to use the backup wifi hotspot feature using my iPhone 17 Pro Max as the hotspot. It failed to connect. Any suggestions? Also, I personally hate that I can't access all settings on a browser. Especially when I only have the iPhone and trying to configure the BE25 to use it as a hotspot while having to turn off the wifi for it. Maybe, that's the issue? But, again it is easier/faster to configure settings via a browser on my desktop/laptop than on my phone.

Also: ODoH is something to look into.

Hi,
It's recommended to use a different phone to set up the Hotspot Backup feature, enable hotspot Wi-Fi on your iPhone, then follow the instructions below to configure the Hotspot Backup feature on the new phone and see if it works.
How to set up Internet Backup on your Deco

Regarding the feature request to be able to configure and control Deco via web UI, I'll record it and forward it to the relevant team for evaluation.

Best Regards

So, TP-Link thinks it is resonable to require their customers to purchase a second phone for the sole purpose of changing this one setting vs. including all settings on the Web UI.

Also, the setting doesn't really work that well. It will connect to the hotspot but sometimes work, most of the time it doesn't. It would be nice to be able to set WPA level or at the least see what it's trying to use.

Hi,
If the regular internet (internet cable) on the main Deco goes down and the hotspot backup works sometimes, please confirm the following information to narrow down the issue.
  1) When the device connected to your Deco has no internet access, what is the LED status on the Deco?
  2) Do other devices (e.g., a PC) connected to your iPhone hotspot Wi‑Fi have internet access?
  3) In the Deco app > More > Advanced > Internet Backup / Hotspot Backup page, does your iPhone hotspot Wi‑Fi always show as Connected?

If you would like to change the wireless security type of your Deco Wi‑Fi, please refer to the instructions below. However, please note that it's unable to modify the hotspot Wi‑Fi's wireless security type on the Deco.
How to Change Your Deco Wi-Fi Name, Password, and other Settings

If you only have one iPhone available, you can still follow the instructions to complete the configuration. It's recommended to follow the instructions carefully when setting up the related features.

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

 1) When the device connected to your Deco has no internet access, what is the LED status on the Deco? Non-flashing red. When it connects to my hotspot it turns Green, but my devices do not connect to the Intenet.
 2) Do other devices (e.g., a PC) connected to your iPhone hotspot Wi‑Fi have internet access? Yes, my MacBook Pro connected to the hotspot on my phone works well.
  3) In the Deco app > More > Advanced > Internet Backup / Hotspot Backup page, does your iPhone hotspot Wi‑Fi always show as Connected? Yes, when the router connects to it.

I still believe that the web interface should have all the settings that the phone app has for the user to change. Imagine if you broke your phone and needed to access the settings on the router, then what?

"If you would like to change the wireless security type of your Deco Wi‑Fi, please refer to the instructions below. However, please note that it's unable to modify the hotspot Wi‑Fi's wireless security type on the Deco."

It would still be nice to see what security is being used so that I can look into modifying the hotspot settings as needed.

Hi,
1. Regarding the feature request to have all the features on the Deco's web UI, I'll log it and forward it to the relevant team for evaluation.

2. You can set the hotspot Wi-Fi's security type to WPA2-PSK or WPA2-PSK/WPA3 for a try. If the same phenomenon persists, we recommend emailing forumsupport.usa@tp-link.com with the following information:
