I am not seeing it, that is why I asked @BrnM

Current Setup: 1x ER605 v2.0, 1x TL-SG3428X v1.0, 2x TL-SG3210 v3.0, 1x TL-SG2210MP v1.0, 2x EAP670(EU) v1.0

  @Fae hi, i still get clients that are connected but are given no IP. This is with the R605 v1 on 1.2.2 Build 20221015 Rel.34612. It happens with both static and dynamic IP assignments. Are there any troubleshooting steps I can take?

Edit: I managed to get an IP assigned to my static client by deleting the address reservation. It has now been given a dynamic IP successfully. My other dynamic device also now has an IP.

I will re-apply the static IP to the other client and see if it works...

Thanks.

I also had this problem and I modified the DHCP lease time for each LAN network to 30 minutes and this fixed the problem. What I am assuming is that once those 30minutes pass, the IP will be free and the device will be able to reconnect and get the new IP(or the samee reserved one).

  @Adandu

Interesting... I was running the 1.2.2 beta version on this particular router.  None of my other devices running 1.2.1 show it as an available update.  Perhaps we will have to wait for @Fae to chime in here.

Thank you for your valuable feedback!

The ER7206_v1_1.2.1 Build 20221026 firmware had some issue with the firmware upgrade via cloud, now it's replaced with the new official firmware below, you should be able to get the new 1.2.3 firmware upgrade online now.

  @Fae

Thanks

Again, may i suggest a tidy up of the rather hilarious first post, or rename the thread to "Current ER605 / 7206 Releases"

Also, its the "11th" not "11st" :-)

  @movable.

Regarding assigning static IP. I remember that when I first received ER605 with its original firmware and using address reservation didn't work for me from the start but I found out myself that if I reserve a static IP to one device, I would have go to IP-MAC Binding under Firewall and then add static IP to bind with its own MAC (you can find its MAC via LAN Client list) and that worked for me.

Don't know why it didn't work unless I used IP-MAC Binding to reserve the static IPs I assigned to my devices.

@barnettgs

@Adandu

thanks for that barnettgs. I ended up doing something similar to what Adandu suggested (I should have said...). I deleted my static IP reservation, restarted the device so it reconnected and requested a new IP. It was given a dynamic IP by the router, then I assigned it a new static IP. The next morning it was working from the new IP. A bit of a slog but I got there in the end...

 ER605(UN)_v1_1.2.2_Build 20221015 (Beta) totally broke DHCP in my router. I had to revert back to the 20220902 beta. No issues on that one.

  @Fae As a new owner I thought I was going nuts not being able to figure out what was happening after doing the recommended "New router, upgrade to latest release." routine. Fortunately a Reddit poster knew of this thread. What I don't understand is along with all of the Beta updates, why a link wasn't provided to the last stable version ER605(UN)_V1_1.1.1_Build 20210723 & ER7206(UN)_V1_1.1.1_Build 20210723 for those of use that need stability over new features. Did I miss something?

FYI. This page https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/er605/v1/#Firmware didn't come up in a Google Search of ER605 v1.6 router firmware. I tracked it down in other Reddit posts.

Thanks, hope the link may help someone.

Ron
