Hi, the official 1.2.1 Build 20250731 Rel. 15505 will be released for all Deco BE85 gradually through the Deco APP. In the early stage of a new firmware release, the firmware is often rolled out in waves according to the MAC addresses and region codes, and a group of users will detect the new version earlier.

If you're not in a hurry, it is suggested to wait for the APP firmware notification.

For Deco BE85(EU)_V1.0(you can check the hardware version on the bottom product label), if you run into any issues with the current 1.2.0 and would like to test the latest 1.2.1, you can manually download the 1.2.1 here:https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-be85/v1/#Firmware

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

Hi, you can downgrade from 1.2.1 back to 1.2.0 directly via the web Interface.
As the 1.2.1 version has just been released, if you would like to spend a little more time, I'd like to forward your case to the senior engineer for further assistance.

By the way, could you also help me check the following details:
For the network topology here:"BE85 Living room (Main) > 2.5Gbps wired backhaul to Office (BE65) > 2.5Gbps wired backhaul to Bedroom (BE85)"

  • Are they directly connected via Ethernet cables? Would there be any network switch?
  • Would both satellite Deco BE65 units randomly turn flashing red spontaneously? How about the main Deco BE85? Is it always solid green?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Thanks for your answer.

I held off for now to downgrade. After full reset yesterday morning all seemed well all day up until now.

Logs seem fine (although there are quite some errors logged not as serious as before and seem related to clients (ARP table and so on)).

I will keep an eye out today again and will be working from home all day so when things go haywire I will notice immediately :-)

For your questions:

- Innitialy there was a TP-Link switch present in between, but for troubleshooting measures I rewired all deco's (and wired devices) direclty between the nodes

I have precisely enough ports available on the 3 node config.

But the switch was present for months without any disruption, only change before the factory reset was version 1.2.1 so I concluded the switch was not the culprit.

- When all went down for a couple of minutes all 3 deco's, including the main, were flashing red

After a few minutes things restored to normal and this situation would repeat itself 2-3 times a day with those lines logged as I mentioned earlier about DNS query.

But for now after a reset all seems fine for about 24 hours.

In fact, all seems a little bit better and even "more" stable then before (that is just by looking closely at the logs in the webinterface).

Up until 1.2.1 all has been rock stable coming from a 3 BE65 setup and after that replacing 2 with a couple of BE85's to have a little more range and bandwith (in theory)

Kind regards

New update.

All has been rock solid since friday.

No more halts, red flashes etc.

I'm using the full mesh 1 wifi config atm, but I'm eager to enable the mlo network again (with a separated ssid only for my mlo capable wifi 7 devices).

Only major logs were these:

Mon Oct 13 00:00:01 2025 user.emerg : tp229,503[7400]:

Mon Oct 13 00:00:01 2025 user.emerg : tp229,505[7400]:

Can you tell me something about these?

Kind regards
