Tapo and Google Home (Again)
Tapo is linked and recognised in Google Home. I had to reboot Tapo and Google Nest, as Home was showing 10 devices when in fact there are only five on the network, so that was the initial thoughts on our situation, However..... read on...
Since the firmware update as above, Google Home as normal has quite happily turned on the three Tapo P100 devices on which we have three lamps, with a set-up voice command "Lumos" or the default Sunset Setting in the same routine set up in Goggle Assistant. However with the set-up voice command "Nox", Google assistant reports that the devices are already off. One further TP100 of the same batch, has it's own routine in Google Home, and turns on the device at 06:30 in the morning and turns it off at 23:30 each night. There are no voice commands for these routines.
Before you begin to suggest that I go through the routine of disconnecting/reconnecting the app from Google Assistant, Turning off the router and re-syncing the devices, Resetting the the routines in Google Home, we have done all of this - twice, and there is no change. We ask to turn on the lights, They come on. We ask for them to be turned off, and Google declares they are off already, but quite plainly are still on......
It is as if the flags to indicate the lights are on, sent to Google Home have not been set, thus Home cannot turn off devices that it believes are already off.
Can you come up with a solution soon as it is quite frankly sending us doolally.
