  @kogo21

The issue I experienced was with ER7206 version 1.2.3.

Is there a version 1.2.3 for ER605?

  @Fae

It's just unbelievable,

I have the omada software controller 5.6.3, ER7206 with the firmware 1.2.3 and having the DHCP problem. It doesn't matter if I have fix IP addresses assigned or not, my whole network is down since the clients can't obtain IP address. I had a few minor issues with 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 but at least that time, rebooting the router helped. This time however it doesn't matter if I reboot APs or router or software controller, my clients can't get IP address, fixed or automatic. I can see them in the client list so they are connected but no IP address.

The only way to fix the issue is to assign static ips on the client but it's not feasible for 50+ devices one by one.

 I have been following this since 1.2.1

Then I had 2 devices getting the same IPs.

What I am wondering what could have changed to get the fundamental feature as ip reservation and DHCP working.  That's pretty much the only job which should just work. Utterly disappointed with the level of software engineering cause hardware seem to be pretty good.

I am wondering if open source is the answer here? Open source Omada platform and charge small fee for cloud access.

@Fae - DHCP issues are still present with the 1.2.2 beta (Build 20221015) for the ER605 v1. Several devices show as connected with no IP hours after they have left the network, and other wireless devices are connecting as wired (either initially or upon reconnection). Are there any updates regarding these concerns or a new firmware for this device? Thank you.

Dear @tansuk, @Hendrics@NTWRK,

Sorry for any trouble caused. Are you still using the ER7206 1.2.3 firmware or the ER605 1.2.2 beta (Build 20221015)?

To figure out the issue, the support engineer would need to check more details when the issue occurs. If you're currently using the new firmware provided in this thread, and the issue can be steadily reproduced in your network, I'd like to escalate your case directly to the engineer for further investigation. Please let me know if you're willing to help. Thanks!

  @Fae I've got an ER-7206 and I can confirm this bug with Firmware 1.2.3, I had it as well. Rolling back to 1.2.1 has seemed to fix my issues. The DHCP Server would quit working after a few hours, causing my APs to not connect. A reboot of the switches would not fix the issue, neither would rebooting the APs, changing the wifi password did seem to help for a while, as did completely resetting and reconfiguring the network, but it would only last a while and quit working. After the roll back, all issues disappeared, and the router is working as expected again, as are the wireless access points.
