Solution What can I do if my Tapo C220/TC72 V2 becomes local only after upgrading to firmware v1.2.1?

Phenomenon Description:
The cameras above become local only in the Tapo app, and the LED changes to a solid orange after upgrading to firmware 1.2.1 Build 251221 Rel.40592n.
Workaround:
Step 1. Refer to the instructions below to set a static IP and custom DNS server for your camera in the Tapo app. For the DNS server, try your router's internal IP or 8.8.4.4.
How to set a static IP for your Tapo Camera
After applying those settings, check whether the camera can be managed remotely. If remote management works, you can update the camera's firmware to the latest official firmware v1.2.2 or later.
Step 2. If Step 1 does not work, you can enable hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone, factory reset the camera, configure it with another phone, connect it to the hotspot Wi-Fi, and then check if you can control it remotely. If so, please update the camera to the latest official firmware v1.2.2 or later.
Step 3. If the above two steps do not work and your camera has an SD card inserted, please follow the instructions below to update the camera's firmware via the SD card and check if it helps.
