Solution Why can't I see the video recordings saved on the Tapo Camera microSD card before midnight(12 AM)?
After inserting the microSD card into the Tapo Camera and setting up the camera's Detection and Recording functions as shown in the following instructions, the camera will save video recordings to the microSD card.
Where can I find detection recordings of Tapo&Kasa cameras on the Tapo app?
How can I view continuous recordings of Tapo&Kasa cameras on the Tapo app?
Note: If the Loop Recording function (On the camera's Device Settings>Storage & Recording>microSD Card page) is turned on, the new recordings will overwrite previous recordings when storage is full.
Problem Phenomenon
We received feedback from customers that when watching video recordings from the microSD card in the Tapo app, the timeline on the Playback page starts at midnight of the current day, making it impossible to view the earlier video recordings saved on the SD card.
Solution
This is not an issue with the Camera or Tapo app. The key is not to overlook the date selection.
To view earlier recordings saved on the SD card, you’ll need to first select the desired date on the Playback>SD card page, and then you can scroll through the timeline to choose the specific time you want to watch.
