  @David-TP

X50 currently at V1.6.3

X50-Outdoor still at V1.2.8

Features of X50/X55 are locked out because X50-Outdoor is added in.

Has TP-Link stopped supporting X50-Outdoor or is it End of Life? Please be honest and don't just give the usual silent treatment to your paying customer, I need to know so that I can implement changes to my system if TP-Link aren't going to upgrade the X50-Outdoor to match the X50 in the near future.

  @Eddie7_UK

Hi, yes, Deco BE85/65 could work as the main Deco for Deco M5.

Can different Deco models work together?

@LAKingsFan

Hi, Not yet, I haven't found any updated news about Deco BE65-POE release details.

@dturtill

IoT network is planned for Deco X10 and I'm not sure when the relevant firmware will be released.

@SteveWex

Hi, Sorry for the inconvenience. I've never been informed that Deco X50-Outdoor is EOL so I still think it is an important and the only Deco outdoor model and will receive new firmware updates.

@JonKong

Hi, Deco X50/X55_V1 is still one of the few models that supports DOH/DOT. Actually, there hasn't been much feedback on Deco X50/X55_v1 since added, which makes us quite uncertain of user satisfaction with this feature. I guess the engineer might still be very cautious about rolling out it to other models.

  @David-TP I found some issue on the mobile app.

I got all working, eventually.
I followed the instructions and added the new BE65 to the existing network, and it worked fine.
Interestingly, it went bananas when I followed the procedure to turn the BE65 into the Main Deco. The network showed in the app that BE65 was not the main Deco, but it still expected the Internet input to come from the M5. So, I got no Internet broadcast when the ISP cable was connected to the B65.

Then, I decided to create a new network, which was always the same result! I started with the BE65, and when I added the M5, the app showed the M5 as the main router. In the process, I created four new networks.
BTW, the app's command to clear the network was not working.

How did I resolve this? I had to remove the phone app, reinstall it, and start the network all over again. That time, it worked nicely. Somehow, the app could not forget the old network configuration and tried to bring it up on every new attempt.

Another issue happens in the meantime. After reinstalling the app, I was able to have the network properly configured, but I have no Internet... Something in this process broke my modem DHCP or something else because it could not resolve the IPs anymore, and I had to ask Gigaclear support for that.

BE-25 devices to firmware 1.0.13 software problems!
2025-03-07 15:41:15 - last edited 2025-03-07 15:43:19

Hi, good day.

I updated my two BE-25 devices to firmware 1.0.13, but after the update, they lost connection. I then reset them and reconnected them to my network, which worked for a few minutes before they lost connection again.

The only way I could resolve the issue was to reset them a second time, reconnect them to my network, and then downgrade the firmware back to 1.0.11.

I’m not sure if this is a general issue with firmware 1.0.13 or if it might be caused by my BE-65 devices, which are running the beta firmware 1.1.0 Build 20250120 Rel. 5148.

Kind regards Chris

BE-25 devices to firmware 1.0.13 software problems!

  @Chris_Bensheim

Hi, welcome to the community.

It would be highly appreciated if you could start a new post about the current issue.

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/edit/topic?moduleId=39

At the same time, can you help me check more details:

1. Did only the two Deco BE25s drop out? Would they turn flashing red during the disconnection?

2. As there are 7 satellite units, are they wirelessly connected?

Here is a new 1.0.17 version ready for Deco BE25, if you're interested, You can find it in the Message and check whether it helps with the current issue.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP

Hey David!

I just recently upgraded from an older Linksys Velop mesh network (Pre Wifi 5) with 5 nodes, and, after some research, I purchased the Deco BE65Pro 3 nodes. One thing that drew us towards TP-Link deco, and specifically this unit, is the price per performance compared to other brand product lines (Eero, Orbi, etc). So far range and speed are just nuts. A couple questions here that are again a draw towards TP-Link Deco that other brands and product lines don't have or don't seem to do as well is the Eco/wifi scheduling functionality. Questions:

1. Is there a plan to bring Eco functionality to the BE65/BE65Pro including wifi scheduling (Ability to turn down/turn off wifi)?

2. If there is a plan to bring Eco/Wifi scheduling functionality, do you have a rough timeline of when that firmware would be made available?

Thanks!
